Photography & Recording Policy

 

The Whitby Figure Skating Club (WFSC) may photograph skaters from time to time for promotional use and to recognize athlete achievements. As part of the registration process, parents and guardians are asked to provide consent for their skater’s image to be captured and used in WFSC communications and materials.

To support a safe and respectful environment for all members, families are asked to ensure that when taking photos of their own skater—whether using a camera, smartphone or tablet—no other skaters are included in the image without prior consent from their parent or guardian. Video recording of skaters on the ice by spectators is strictly prohibited.

WFSC coaches may record skaters during lessons for instructional purposes only. These recordings are used exclusively to support athlete development and will not be shared publicly.
