WFSC Coaches

All WFSC coaches are contracted by the Club to deliver group instruction on our CanSkate, Pre-CanSkate, and structured STARSkate sessions.

• STARSkate Skaters:
• All STARSkaters must arrange private lessons with a WFSC coach before registering for STARSkate sessions at the Star 2/3 level or higher.
• Families should confirm their coach's availability prior to completing registration.
• As of Fall 2026 Private Lessons are no longer required for skaters moving from Stage 6 of Canskate to Star 1, Skaters will attain a Private Coach when moving from Star 1 to the Star 2 and higher levels.
• CanSkate / Rising Stars / Star 1:
• CanSkate is a group program run to Skate Canada's highest delivery standards.  It is designed to ensure skaters receive all the skills they need to suceed in a variety of ice sports through the use of group instruction only.
• Rising Stars is a group environment with a curated curriculum, Private coaching is not required nor recommended.
• Star 1 is again a structured group program, Private lessons are not required.
• There are NO private lessons on PreCanskate, Beginner CanSkate, Advanced Canskate, PowerSkate or Adult / Teen Canskate.

Coaches’ rates will vary based on qualifications and experience. Rates may vary depending on the number of skaters in the lesson (private, semi, group), and type of lesson. If you are unsure, please inquire with each individual coach’s rates before committing to lessons.
